WORKING AT HEIGHT HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN OUR DNA.

Snap-on Industrial’s special program for professionals working at heights
The first Snap-on Branded Tools were developed for construction workers building sky-scrapers, reducing weight and saving valuable time.
Today we proceed with this commitment, and present to the industry our Tools @ Height program. An extensive line of products and tools designed to make your work above the ground or in the deep completely safe. Industry regulations exist to protect people from falling, but no such guidance exists for protecting individuals from dropped objects, the fourth highest cause of death in the workplace. The Tools at Height program from Snap-on Industrial Brands offers both safety and productivity and uniquely addresses this critical gap.
Tools@Height™ has made a major contribution to improving site safety and efficiency by preventing hand tools from becoming dropped objects.
The system provides storage of tools when not in use, their secure transportation to the workplace and retention devices that prevent tools from being dropped. Manufactured to exacting standards, Tools@Height™ delivers essential tool control and safety during manufacturing, installation and maintenance activities.
Regardless of your at-height applications, Snap-on has your tool safety covered – providing a complete selection of retention devices that prevent tools from being dropped.
Our modular approach means you can configure the tools/ holsters based on a user’s personal preference, while providing a system that meets your safety standards
Attaching tools to a lanyard or tether can keep them from falling when used in high places, can prevent foreign material in certain circumstances, and keep you from losing valuable tools in environments like ocean platforms. We’ve seen attachments ranging from zip-ties around wrenches to eyes screwed into the tops of screwdriver handles. Neither allows you to use the tool easily, and both can be unreliable. Snap-on Industrial wrench tethers allow you to use the wrench freely, and they won’t come apart. Our screwdriver tether is designed to connect below your hand so you get the full functionality of the tool.
We can fit tether connections to a wide range of hand and cordless power tools with lanyards that can be attached to wrist, belt, harness or other location based on use and weight.
The things we learned working with aviation/aerospace customers controlling FOD were things we didn’t have to learn all over again when we started talking to the nuclear power people about FME or Foreign Material Exclusion. They had the same issues with tools falling into reactors as the aviation folks had with tools left behind in jet engines. FME required keeping track of tools in and out of the tool box, keeping assembled tools together in service and using tethering to keep the tools attached to the technician. We share best practices and ideas among customers to keep productivity high while meeting regulations, so let us put our experience to work for you.
Carefully placed attachment points are designed and tested to maintain the functionality of the tools.
From individual tools to custom-designed kits, we’ll help create the systems you need, then ship the assembled components that are ready to work upon arrival.
Our Tools@Height system has been proven again and again to reduce dropped object occurrences in real world applications in a variety of industries.
Our process provides consistent placement of tethering attachment points, and a wide selection of lanyards, that provide workers with familiar, reliable tools across multiple facilities. When your crews relocate to a different worksite, there’s no need for additional training on the tools they’ll be using.
Attachment points, lanyards, tool bags and other components of our system work together to create innovative, dependable systems.
Tools@Height kits contain standard Snap-on tools that have been enhanced with appropriate drop prevention components. If a tool needs to be replaced, you can be assured that an identical item, equipped with Tools@Height modifications, will be readily available for use “right out of the box”.
Snap-on Account Managers have the knowledge and experience to train your employees on the safe and effective use of tethered tools.
Tools@Height drop prevention can be implemented for only a portion of the cost of in-house systems.
The fixing points are carefully placed. They are designed and tested to maintain the functionality of the tools.
Four holes are better and safer than one. Tools@Height sockets, adapters and extensions have a locking hole on all four sides. Tools@Height drive tools and ratchets have a locking pin that fits into the side locking hole for positive locking. Typical attachments with only one side hole have an increased risk of falling apart. The Tools@Height range reduces the risk of damage to the assemblies you work on and, more importantly, the people you work with.
Whether individual tools or customer-specific kits, we help you to create the systems you really need. The components arrive at your premises fully assembled and are ready for immediate use.
Snap-on Account Managers have the experience and knowledge to train your team in the efficient and safe use of the tools.
Tools@Height can be implemented for a fraction of the cost of in-house systems. The standardized positioning of the fastening elements reduces the training effort.
