Aerosol Photometer Calibration Process<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>1.1 Why aerosol photometer calibration ?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Aerosol Photometer is an important measuring device that requires high accuracy. Therefore, calibration of this device is extremely necessary. As it will help ensure stability and accuracy for related operations. Besides, the calibration also helps to detect equipment failures (if any) early for timely correction and repair.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hWx0ZzyuQik\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>1.2 Calibration instrument<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Standard flow meter, range up to 30LPM: BIOS Defender 520 \/ ALICAT PCU or equivalent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Reference Aerosol Photometer<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Aerosol generator<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Air compressor source<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>1.3 Environment conditions<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Temperature:\u00a0 (20 \u00f7 25)\u00baC<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Relative Humidity: (30 \u00f7 65)%RH<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>1.4 Preparation<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Ensure the UUT is clean and free from defects or damage capable of affecting use or calibration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; As applicable, connect test equipment to an appropriate power source. Set POWER switches to ON and allow warm-up as required by the manufacturer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Check level of PAO\/DOP reagents in container of aerosol generator at the level marked.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Turn on the aerosol generator, connect with air compressor source, the output vale of PAO\/DOP is closed. Use regulator adjust the output pressure about 5~20PSI.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Technician must be familiar with calibration procedure and the operator manual of the UUT before calibrate.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>1.5 Perform<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>1.5.1 Zero reading<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; When the UUT Clear function is activated, the reading value shall be near 0.000%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Follow manufacturer\u2019s instruction, perform zero if necessary<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>1.5.2 Flow rate test<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Connect DOWNSTREM port of UUT with the Reference flow meter by suitable tube.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Press DOWNSTREAM button on the UUT.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Record readings value of the Reference flow meter, compare with UUT readings, approximately at 28.3LPM. Record at least 10 readings using capture\/logging device.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; When finish flow calibration, press CLEAR button on the UUT, disconnect with Reference flow meter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/techmaster.com.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/hieu-chuan-aerosol-photometer.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-47693\" src=\"https:\/\/techmaster.com.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/hieu-chuan-aerosol-photometer.jpg\" alt=\"Hi\u1ec7u chu\u1ea9n m\u00e1y \u0111o \u0111\u1ed9 r\u00f2 r\u1ec9 m\u00e0n l\u1ecdc Hepa\" width=\"755\" height=\"425\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>1.5.3 PAO\/DOP reagents leakage test<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Perform for PAO reagents first, then repeat for DOP, if applicable.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Set the internal reference concentration at 100\u00b5g\/L, PAO reagents for Reference aerosol photometer and UUT.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Active DOWNSTREAM function on Reference meter and UUT.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; On the generator, open valve to PAO, connect the output of generator with the DOWNSTREAM port on the Reference photometer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Adjust the regulator on the generator, until the Reference photometer reach approximately 10%, wait for stable, records at least 10 readings using capture\/logging device.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; Change the output of generator from the Reference photometer to the UUT\u2019s DOWNSTREAM port, wait for stable, record same number of readings with above steps, and compare with the Reference unit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; When finish, press CLEAR, press button back to home screen.
