It also spans the range of interest of parenteral drug and VLSI semiconductor manufactures although the levels of detrimental microcontamination are quite dissimiar. VLSI semiconductor manufacturers are primarily interested in submicron particles while parenteral drug manufacturers are only currently interested in supermicron particles.
