With the backing of this study,\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ed1c24;\">BioCapt\u00ae Single-Use<\/span>\u00a0can be used for three hour sampling with no change to its monitoring capabilities.<\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"color: #ed1c24;\">Learn more<\/span>\u00a0about this industry-leading\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ed1c24;\">BioCapt\u00ae Single-Use<\/span> for viable air samples<\/p>\r\n<p>The\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ed1c24;\">BioCapt\u00ae Single-Use (BCSU)<\/span>\u00a0is an inertial impactor with elliptic cuts (slits) used to perform microbiological analysis and monitoring of air. It is made of transparent polystyrene, with visible culture media. It is composed of three separable parts:<\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>The base holding the culture media.<\/li>\r\n<li>The lid with slits for air aspiration.<\/li>\r\n<li>The cap that covers the lid.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p>BCSU contains ready-to-use (RTU) culture media in packaging sterilized by irradiation.<\/p>\r\n<p>A vacuum source connects to the side adapter to allow a constant flow of air into the device. After sampling and incubation, the lid can be removed for additional colony testing.<\/p>\r\n<p>Diverse formulations of BCSU are available. The media can include neutralizing agents to counter the effects of bactericidal or bacteriostatic disinfectants used for disinfection of surfaces, including Lactamator\u00ae, an enzyme inactivating a broad-spectrum of beta-lactam antibiotics. As a result, residues of disinfectants and antibiotics present in the environment do not inhibit the growth of bacteria sensitive to them.<\/p>\r\n<p>This product is an appropriate choice for active air\u00a0monitoring environments, and the formulation with Lactamator\u00ae is the most appropriate solution where beta-lactam antibiotics are produced.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div
